Marti Spiegelman - Awakening Value?
Ever wondered the purpose of your birth? In a man’s life there are two moments that could be marked as turning points; the first is his birth and the second the moment he determines the purpose of his birth. The quest to determine the purpose of your birth is not an easy one though. Neither is it consistent. It’s like a journey, one that’s beyond your control and one that needs a tremendous amount of introspection. A man seeking true awareness often goes through bouts of self doubt leading to anger, depression and a general hatred towards others. But at the end is an awakening, which is supreme and everlasting. The effects are manifold. It makes you realize the purpose of your life, the real passion in you and the values that help you to achieve success.
Success is easy to achieve for those who realize a few critical truths. The first and the most important thing in life for a man to achieve success is passion. To speak in lay man’s terms when you do a certain thing unaware of the time, the surrounding, the limitations...that’s passion. But what’s passion without purpose? Together with a tangible vision, you could achieve success. To ensure that this success lasts forever, it is important to incorporate values. Values give meaning to success. Simply put, values are what you are as a person deep inside, things that you believe to be correct, even if the world thinks otherwise. Just as individuals it is important for businesses to have values that determine their path to success.
The process starts with an internal questioning. Start asking questions to yourself. What do I like? What is it that I dislike? What do I do as a fun activity...or do I even have fun at all? Who are the most important people in my life and why are they important to me? The answers to these questions could lead you to understand your values. It is from these values that you will find your true passion. One that propels you to surge ahead! Imagine the huge mass of energy inside a hot air balloon. This, my friend, is your passion, which has to be channelized to find a purpose. A purpose for your existence and a purpose that defines Success. If you are a business concern, this statement defines your business conscious. Your entire gamut of activities like sales, marketing, manufacturing and even mentoring those under you, are focused around this. A clearly defined purpose statement is what differentiates average businesses from those whom we call-“PATHBREAKERS!â€
